The Adventures of a tiny TK

YES! I am too short for a Stormtrooper!

Bucket on, Missy!

My helmet is here! OH MY GOD!

So… This is how it went…
I contacted ATA and when I placed the order for my armor the guy told me he would be getting more ABS soon and would make my armor out of that new batch.
He explained that although he had helmet kits ready to ship he said sometime from one batch to the other they have a slightly different coloration and advised me to wait a few weeks to get the bucket from the same batch of plastic as my armor, so this wouldn’t be a problem.

As excited and anxious as I was, I was tempted to just get my bucket right away, but decided to do things right.
Besides I have no idea what I am doing and Terrell has been making armor for a while and knows his thing (is his name Terrell or terry??? Oops) it would have been stupid not to listen to him!

So yeah!! I’ve been waiting for a while and anxiety was building up!!!

And finally having this on my hands just makes it more real you know??? I am going to be a TK!

Fresh out of the box!!! i didn’t know that brand new shiny abs smelled so good!

The very first cut! i just used this really strong fabric shears i have. it’s supposed to cut 10 layers of fabric. I know, i know i shouldn’t do that. I basically destroyed the scissors but truth to be told. I don’t like it very much. It is very good to cut layers and layers of fabric, but i NEVER do that. And… it’s not very good to cut just a few layers.

And… besides all that, i was just WAY too excited. I had to do something and i haven’t gotten the scissors yet.

Just a rough sanding. I need to find my little tiny files. I don’t know what they are called but I mean those metal ones. They will be perfect to sand these guys!
